On August 3, the first global solicitation for creative design of community beauty space in Chengdu, China in 2021, sponsored by the Social Governance Committee of Chengdu Municipal Committee, the Publicity Department of Chengdu Municipal Committee and the Foreign Affairs Office of Chengdu Municipal Committee, has beenofficially launched. Fourteen projects were simultaneously held to invite high-level design teams from home and abroad to participate in the design of Chengdu Community beauty space.

It is reported that the community beauty space was first proposed by Chengdu in 2020 nationwide. It refers to the space scene based on the community category, rooted in the community, taking the community category as the main service radius, providing universal aesthetic experience, and deeply adhering to the social value, life value and aesthetic value.

Parsing the connotation, community spacefocuses on the change of the community residents "home", with regional culture, historical culture and industry characteristic of the communityas the guidanceandaesthetic elements, the space will reveal theme features, artistic expression, cultural show, consumer experience, emotional communication and other multi-function aesthetics in the integration of community use scenarios.

This global solicitation for Chengdu innovation is an important practice of community development governance measures, hopingthat through this way better design conceptfrom all over the worldis introduced into the global community inChengdu in the construction of the space, and by widely spreading, more experts, designers, public can concern and participate in Chengdu park community construction. Meanwhile, withcitizens’demand further researched,the community could be madea carrier of life with more cultural value, public function and aesthetic significance.

Activity Content

This event aims to design 14 community spaces with creative design potential and aesthetic application value in Chengdu. The main types of projects are the renovation of old buildings, the overall construction of surrounding space, the improvement of space function and the reuse of idle space. About the Registration and Eligibility

This event is publicly available for registration. All domestic and foreign design companies/teams with relevant design experience can apply for the registration. There is no qualification restriction during the registration stage. Consortium is allowed to register with no more than 2 members. Each party of consortium shall not participate in the consortium alone or with another design firm.
