According to the preliminary judgment of the staff, the giant panda cub is about half a year old, which is the same as the mother and son captured by the No. 8 camera in the area on the night of January 12, 2022.

From the video, two giant pandas are seen entering the tree hole one after another. Choosing this kind of natural tree hole to "settle down" is the smartest choice for the mother and son of giant pandas, which can protect themselves from wind and rain, keep warm and defend against other "natural enemies".

The Mahuangou area in Baoxing area of Ya'an Giant Panda National Park is located in the core reserve of Giant Panda National Park, about 2500-3800 meters above sea level.
